Summer, Sports, and Team Spirit

Our sports initiatives have become more than just individual events - they’ve become an annual tradition for us. This summer, our employees once again came together to exercise, motivate one another, and celebrate their successes. From our global “One Step Further” event - which set a new kilometer record for a good cause - to our soccer cup, the CHG Padel OPEN, and the Wenglor Company Run in Germany.

One Step Further Initiative 2026

15,982 km for a good cause

For the sixth year in a row, colleagues from around the world have come together to make a positive difference—for their health, their teams, and a good cause.

Through “One Step Further”, CHG-MERIDIAN’s largest international CARE campaign, employees worldwide covered a total of 15,982 km in one week, whether on foot, on wheels, or on the water. For every kilometer covered within the week and documented via the app, CHG-MERIDIAN donates €1.

This year, our donation will support Second Life e.V. and the PATRIZIA Foundation.

A New Participation Record

CHG-MERIDIAN at the Wenglor Company Run in Friedrichshafen

With 111 registrations, we reached a new record this year and proudly received the trophy for “Top Team 2026” – a great recognition of our CHG team spirit.

Beyond the sporting challenge, the event also created a positive impact: 1€ for every participant was donated to local projects and clubs, and part of the amount supporting DKMS and its commitment to blood cancer patients worldwide.

More than the result, the company run was about coming together, encouraging each other and celebrating what we can achieve as a team.

CHG-MERIDIAN Padel OPEN in Ravensburg

Shortly after the company run, 30 colleagues from Weingarten came together for a charity padel tournament. With perfect summer weather, great vibes and plenty of competitive spirit, it was the perfect mix of sport, fun and team spirit.

While everyone was there to compete, the real winner was the cause: € 2.000 in donations will support Frauen und Kinder in Not e.V. and the Kinderschutzbund Ravensburg, helping people in need in our local community.

A big thank you to everyone who joined, competed, cheered and helped make the day such a great success.

Summer, Sports, and Team Spirit

Our annual Soccer & Beach Volleyball Cup

Once again this year, our soccer and beach volleyball tournament held near our corporate headquarters was a real highlight. Exciting matches, strong team performances, and many enthusiastic colleagues, family members, and friends made the day a special experience.

In the soccer tournament, defending champion CHG Treasury repeated its success and won the decisive match against CHG Groß-Gerau. The remaining spots were taken by the CHG Future Team with our young players, the CHG International/Sales team, and CHG IT.

In the thrilling volleyball final, the CHG Sudo Smash team prevailed over CHG Revision and secured the tournament victory. CHG tesma and two teams from CHG BTS followed in the remaining places.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the teams, our colleagues from Groß-Gerau for making the long trip, and all the supporters on the sidelines.
The day concluded on a high note with a public viewing of the World Cup match  featuring a fantastic atmosphere and many wonderful encounters.

About the CARE initiatives

The CARE (CHG-MERIDIAN ATTENDS TO ITS REGIONAL ENVIRONMENT) initiative has enabled CHG-MERIDIAN to create a platform on which its employees can help to shape the details of our corporate citizenship. They contribute specific suggestions connected with their region and put them into practice as a team. For its part, the company contributes grants and resources. In this way, we share the success of our company in a meaningful and purposeful way.

One Step Further has evolved over the past six years into a truly global tradition—uniting colleagues across borders, strengthening engagement, and creating a growing impact for those in need. What makes this initiative so special is not only the distance covered, but the commitment, compassion, and team spirit behind every single kilometer. It reflects what is possible when people come together around a shared purpose and believe that together we can create lasting, positive change.
