Environmental protection and climate action

For us, climate action is an ongoing process, from calculating our greenhouse gas emissions to setting reduction targets and reporting transparently.

Our climate management

Climate change calls for decisive action, including from companies. As part of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), we are taking responsibility for climate action and have had our science-based short-term climate targets validated by the SBTi. These include the direct emissions from energy consumption in buildings and the vehicle fleet, as well as the indirect emissions over the lifecycle of assets leased to customers.  This marks another milestone toward a more sustainable future.

1. Calculation Calculation of our carbon footprint based on generally accepted standards.
2. Formulation of reduction targets Validation of our science-based short-term climate targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
3. Measures to meet targets Avoid and reduce emissions, e.g. by promoting the use of electric vehicles and switching to renewable energy.
4. Reporting and communication Internal and external reporting, annual sustainability report, and external ratings, for example by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

More transparency, more progress

We joined the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), one of the world’s leading environmental rating organizations, in 2022 and achieved a score of B in 2025. The CDP is a non-profit initiative that helps companies, cities, and regions to disclose their environmental impact and take targeted action to improve sustainability. This provides transparency about our emissions and about our approach to calculating them.
