CHG-MERIDIAN, a leading global technology2use company, has contributed 400 refurbished devices to support digital inclusion and education in some of Australia’s most remote communities.
The first 108 devices have been deployed to remote communities through WorkVentures’ First Nations Device Bank pilot.
The contribution is the first milestone of CHG-MERIDIAN’s ongoing commitment to support vulnerable members of the community and help close the digital divide.
The digital divide
This paragraph focuses on the digital divide and the importance of access to technology to participate in society and unlock opportunities.
“A laptop is so much more than hardware; it is a tool to stay connected, access professional and education opportunities and participate in society. Our commitment to closing the digital divide is driven by our belief in purpose-led and sustainable technology management.” Simon Cubbin, Head of Strategic Partnerships
Supporting First Nations Students in the Torres Strait
Access to a laptop can transform educational outcomes for students. For many children, especially those in remote communities, technology remains out of reach - limiting their ability to learn, connect, and develop essential digital skills
In September 2025, Kaziw Meta, a boarding home for secondary aged students in the Torres Strait, received 80 refurbished laptops from CHG-MERIDIAN. The laptops are being used by boarders to support their education and access opportunities.
Each device was ready for use on arrival, fully equipped with essential software, digital training materials, and six months of technical support to maximise its value to the students.

CHG-MERIDIAN’s ongoing commitment to the Australian community
The devices now supporting learners, students, and job seekers is just the beginning. As a leading technology2use company, CHG-MERIDIAN is committed to helping vulnerable communities access essential technology and closing the digital divide.
