The flawless and complete return of your leased equipment is a central component of a successful and cooperative partnership. It forms the basis for calculating rental certificates and enables you to use IT equipment efficiently and cost-effectively. It also guarantees efficient and sustainable recycling of used IT.

When assessing the condition of the equipment, we focus on processes that are transparent for all parties involved. In order to evaluate the condition of your returned devices objectively and comprehensibly, we rely on a standardized grading system. This assigns each device – depending on signs of use and possible damage – to one of four categories:

Grade A – fully functional; light signs of usage

-          Technically flawless and fully functional

-          Undamaged display without scratches or pressure marks

-          Full return including original accessories

-          No or only slight, usual signs of wear (fair wear and tear)

Grade B – fully functional; moderate signs of usage

-          Technically flawless and fully functional

-          Undamaged display without scratches or pressure marks

-          Full return including accessories

-          Moderate signs of wear beyond normal wear and tear, such as light scratches, adhesive residue, or minor missing parts

Grade C – light functional; shortcomings heavy; signs of usage

-          Technical defects and/or not fully functional

-          Clear signs of use, e.g. deep scratches, display damage, non-removable dirt or relevant

-          Missing parts

Grade D – not functional

-          Device inoperable or locked (e.g., due to passwords or software)

-          Severe cosmetic damage that exceeds market value to repair, such as case cracks, broken displays, or severe mechanical damage
